In a residential building where several tenants live, it is important to make arrangements. This way we can get on well with each other and call each other to account when necessary.

Nuisance

  • Avoid noise, especially between 8pm and 7am.
  • Keep the volume of the sound equipment (especially the bass) low. Adjust the sound so that only you enjoy it. Otherwise, use headphones or earphones.
  • You are responsible for visitors. In case of nuisance, we will speak to you about it.
  • Are you bothered by a flatmate? First, have a chat and discuss it. Living pleasure is something you arrange together. Often, a problem can be solved in no time. Are you really unable to solve it together? Then contact us.
  • Try to prevent break-ins and nuisance from strangers. Do not let strangers walk in the building. Check who you open the door for. Make sure your doors are always locked when you leave.

Keep the residential building tidy

  • Student administrators and a complex manager are present in the building for supervision in the building. Among other things, they periodically check the communal living kitchen in each cluster.
  • Keep corridors, common areas and stairwells free of bulky rubbish and goods.
  • Throw separated waste in the underground containers. You can do this 24 hours a day. Have you lost your refuse card? Then you can request a new pass via www.gemeente.groningen.nl/huisvuilpas-aanvragen.
  • You can take bulky waste yourself to the waste station at Duinkerkenstraat 99 or Electronstraat 2 in Groningen. Bulky waste can also be collected by the Environmental Department. Costs are charged for this. Make an appointment with the Environmental Department.
  • Do we find your waste? Then we will charge you for the cost of removing it. For the removal of a rubbish bag we will charge you €15 each and for bulky waste we will charge you the cost of removing it.
  • Take mail to the cluster.
  • Park your bicycle or scooter in the storage room. Scooters can be parked in the space provided and bicycles can be placed in the bicycle rack. Mopeds, scooters and bicycles that block escape routes or are parked illegally will be removed. Neat bikes are kept and you can get them back for a fee. Has your bicycle been removed? If so, contact Nijestee on (050) 853 35 33. Wrecked bicycles are labelled and removed on the date indicated (on the label).

Pets

  • Pets are not allowed.

Chores in the room and shared living kitchen

Keep communal areas tidy

  • In a cluster where you share common areas with other residents, it is important to make proper arrangements for this. All residents are jointly responsible for keeping it tidy.

Electric cooking

  • Cooking is done in the communal kitchen. The building is gas-free. Cooking is electric (induction).
  • The room is on only one electrical group. The maximum capacity on the group is 3680 watts (230V/16A). So don't turn on all the appliances in the room at the same time. This will prevent short circuits.
  •

Smoking

  • Atlas is a smoke-free building.
